1. Information We Collect

• Information You Provide

  • Account details: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive identifiers such as your name, email address, and profile photo as provided by the identity provider.

  • Quiz responses: Every answer you submit in the Quick Sketch, Advanced, or Friend rituals is stored so we can generate and re-render your partner portraits.

  • Persona data: Optional descriptions, friend names, or prompts you enter while forging new vibes or scenes.

• Automatically Collected Information

  • Device and usage data: Device model, OS version, app version, crash logs and anonymized analytics.

  • Cloud metadata: Timestamps, Firebase-generated document IDs, and Cloud Storage references for each portrait and vibe.

  • App Check attestations: Signals used to validate that each request comes from a genuine, untampered build.

• Local Files

  • Portraits are cached on your device so you can view them offline. These images remain within the app sandbox and are not accessible to other apps.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

• Generate partner portraits, vibes, and personas through our Firebase Functions.

• Sync your gallery across devices via Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage.

• Enforce free‑tier limits and detect anomalous usage.

• Improve reliability, debug issues, and deploy new features.

• Send optional updates (future feature).

 

3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

We rely on the following bases:

• Contract – to provide the requested portrait generation service.

• Legitimate Interests – for fraud prevention, analytics, and product improvement.

• Consent – for optional notifications or marketing (not yet implemented).

4. Generative AI Disclosure

This app uses Third-Party Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide its core functionality. * Service Provider: We use Google Gemini 2.5 Flash to process your quiz responses and persona data to generate images.

• Data Shared: When you initiate an image generation, the specific answers you provided in the quiz are sent to Google’s AI services.

• Usage: This data is used solely to generate the visual output you requested. We do not share your name, email, or real-world identity with the AI provider.

• User Consent: By using the generation feature, you provide explicit consent for this data transmission.

 

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Firebase services (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Functions, App Check).

• Google AI Services (Gemini) for the purpose of generating your partner portraits as described in Section 4.

• Analytics/crash partners included in the app build.

• Law enforcement, where required by a valid legal process.

 

6. Data Retention

• Portraits, vibes, and quiz responses remain until you delete your account or request removal. Click here to know more about account deletion.

• AI-Generated Content: Images generated via AI are stored in your private gallery until deleted by you.

• Local cached files are removed when you clear the app data or uninstall.

• Logs and analytics are retained for up to 24 months unless legal obligations require longer storage.

 

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request:

• Access, correction, or deletion of your data.

• A copy of portraits and personal information.

• Restriction of processing or objection to legitimate interest uses.

8. Security

We secure all API calls with Firebase App Check, require authenticated access before reading or writing user data, and encrypt data in transit and at rest via Firebase’s default protections. Nevertheless, no method of transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

9. Children

Soulmate Studio is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you believe we inadvertently collected such information, contact us, and we will delete it.

 

10. International Transfers

Data is processed primarily in the United States and India via Google Cloud. By using the app you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in these regions.

 

11. Updates to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect product changes or legal requirements. We will update the “Effective Date” and notify you in-app or via email when significant updates occur.
